A file of international press clippings, all relating to the 1938 International Surrealist Exhibition in Paris at the Galerie Beaux-Arts, laminated, titled and dated in green ink by Breton, in a 49-page green cloth-bound album (32x26cm).
Certain documents are included in the file, such as the invitation to the exhibition showing the automaton ‘Enigmarelle’ and the very rare booklet by Gengenbach entitled ‘Surrealism and Christianity’, in which the surrealists of 1938 are discussed.
