Description
Unsigned letter dated 3 March 1925, addressed to each member of the group.
Addressed to each member of the group, this letter, dated 3 March 1925, is unsigned; it can be attributed either to Breton or, more likely, to Artaud, who had taken over the Bureau at the beginning of winter. On its own terms, the letter marked a turning point; it invokes the unity of the group and marks a more militant stance taking shape. Its writer is asking for a veritable free hand and also demands more frequent attendances at the Bureau. However, the chronic malfunctioning of the Bureau continued until its closure in April.
