Plaster mask of Paul Éluard displayed in Breton's studio, rue Fontaine.
According to Aube Elléouët and Jean-Michael Goutier, the visible accidnts on the mask are due to a cannon ball set off during the Liberation of Paris, when Breton lived in an apartment on the floor bellow the studio.
