Description
"A young painter [...] whom I haven't known for long, but whom I hold to be exceptionally inspired". It was in these terms that Breton, in an "update" in Arcane 17, introduced J.H., who during the transitional period of the years from 45-50 was one of the most enthusiastic adherents of "automatism".
