Description

"Paris en 1930, a small collage made with three postcards, is reproduced within an article by Sadoul, "Bonne année ! Bonne santé !" : there is no caption, nor any acknowledgement as to authorship elsewhere in the issue. The collage was reprinted on the cover of two of the brochures listing surrealist publications issued by the Librairie José Corti : there it is captioned Paris en 1930 but remains anonymous. The original, which was in Breton's collection, is inscribed by him on the verso "René Magritte Paris 1930".
