    Manuscript by André Breton written sometime during February-March 1939 about the exhibition Mexico.

    On returning from Mexico, Breton organised an exhibition at Renou et Colle's bringing together Mexican objects and paintings belonging to a tradition ignored in Europe and dating back to the eighteenth century, as well as to the more modern productions of the muralists and Frida Kahlo. The draft presented here is not the preface, which was published in Alentours II of the second volume of the Œuvres complètes., but a kind of introduction perhaps intended for the press.
