La photographe Helen Levitt (1913-2009), amie d’Henri Cartier-Bresson et de Walker Evans a réalisé ses premières photos d’enfants et de dessins à la craie (Chalkdrawing ) faits par des enfants de 1938 à 1948 à New York.
