List, established and commented upon by André Breton in December 1952, of the works of Paul Éluard with their dedications. At the end of 1952, Paul Éluard, who had been André Breton’s closest friend for twenty years, died. Breton had a facsimile of a dedication from his former friend reproduced in the magazine Arts, before drawing up an annotated list of Éluard's works in his library, apparently with the aim of selling them. The inventory is one of the rituals of mourning. Autograph manuscript, Paris, December 18, 1952, in the hand of André Breton of a list entitled "Éluard" in which André Breton has listed the copies sent to him by Paul Éluard, copying the dedications. The list was sent to Jacques Goldschmitt, bookseller, and returned by the latter to André Breton.
