Dans le lot 1140, on trouve une autre photographie de la même série ou un autre tirage de cette photographie originale représentant la pièce d'Aragon et Breton « Le trésor des Jésuites », jouée à Prague dans une mise en scène de Styrsky (13 x 18cm) [site André Breton, 2017]
La pièce anticléricale, écrite par Louis Aragon et André Breton fin 1928, est un hommage au cinéma populaire et muet et surtout à Musidora, l’actrice fétiche de Louis Feuillade (Les Vampires, puis Judex) qui devait y jouer un rôle. La pièce aurait dû être représentée en octobre 1928 pendant le « Gala Judex » de bienfaisance prévu pour soutenir la veuve de René Cresté (1881-1922) l’interprète de Judex, un film en 12 épisodes tourné en 1916. Après l’éviction des deux surréalistes, ce gala aura lieu en février 1929, sans cette représentation.
La pièce ne sera jouée la première fois qu’en mai 1935, à Prague, au Théâtre Nové Divaldo, avec une mise en scène Jindrich Honzl et des décors de Jindrich Styrsky.
Un mois après la visite d’André Breton, Jacqueline Lamba et Paul Éluard à Prague.
« Le Trésor des jésuites tient plus du cinéma porté à la scène et de la revue de cabaret que du théâtre proprement dit. Cette pièce n'en est pas moins importante par le fait qu'elle montre qu'un théâtre d'action et de rêve est concevable, que la scène peut fort bien supporter certaines techniques de contraction, d'immobilisation, de dilatation du temps et du mouvement propres au cinéma. Elle nous permet de comprendre pourquoi les surréalistes, satisfaits du pouvoir libérateur de certains films, n'ont pas insisté pour que le théâtre rivalise avec eux. Enfin, elle se signale à notre attention par l'emploi quasi systématique des collages, la plupart des événements rapportés [...] étant empruntés aux quotidiens de l'époque » (Henri Béhar, Le Théâtre dada et surréaliste, Gallimard, 1967, p. 279).

- A handwritten manuscript signed by René Crevel: “When writing breaks loose” (7 pages in-4°).
- A handwritten manuscript signed by Raymond Queneau (5 pages in-4°).
- A handwritten manuscript signed by Paul Éluard “Primitive Art” (3 pages in-4°).
- A handwritten manuscript by Benjamin Péret “Fake vegetation” with a title written by Breton (3 pages in-4°).
- An original photograph showing Aragon and Breton’s theater play “The Jesuit’s Treasure” performed in Prague, with stage direction by Styrsky (13x18cm).
- An original photograph showing Musidora in this play, along with an original period print by Henri Manuel showing Musidora laying down in the same costume as the former photo; the photograph is signed on the back by Musidora.
- A handwritten letter by Paul Nougé, signed, 3 pages in-12 with the envelope. “Nadja moved me to the point that I thought it was right to postpone writing to you. [...] You occupy a prominent place in my life my dear Breton and I should be desperate if you doubted my sentiments.”
- A handwritten letter dated December 23rd, 1932 and signed with ink by Paul Nougé (draft of this thank-you letter), 2 pages in-12, envelope preserved. [Auction catalogue, 2003]
