Description

Note from André Breton, undated, addressed to Jacqueline Lamba.

To Jacqueline

The diamond of my life will have shattered for you alone behind Marcel Duchamp’s lapidary window. In a dream it is tinged with our blood as far as the eye can see. It’s you, it’s me, it’s the defenestration of Prague and the world, the time of the green butterfly.

Transcription
